This was amazing, succulent and delicious. The biscuits here are to die for! And the blackberry jam tastes homemade. Can't wait to come here for my birthday brunch!

*Pecan Crusted Rainbow Trout w/ Haricot Verts, Roasted Sweet Potatoes & Beurre Blanc

I had the pecan crusted trout---my son had the double cut pork chop and my husband had the fried chicken salad! For desert we shared the jumble berry shortcake! Truly one of the best meals I have ever had. The food, the atmosphere and the service were all excellent! We will definitely be back and will bring friends.

all of the food is great is this hidden gem in Newport. Breakfast here is also fantastic. thank you Amy and all of the servers and terrific cooks. Love this place!!

*Caramelized Red Pear, Candied Pecan & Goat Cheese Salad w/ Red Wine Vinaigrette

The warm pears were cooked perfectly, combined with the goat cheese and candied pecans, I didn't even need dressing

Fried Green Tomatoes w/ Roasted White Corn Salsa

Every once in a great while you come across a restaurant that makes you feel like you're home again. At Tupelo at least you're treated that way by the owner, Amy and staff, shout out to Ernesto. Tupelo is that kind of place and what makes it even better, the food is truly made with skill, love and is fabulous. Rarely does the tastes of the South here in So Cal truly evoke memories of home and travels but they nail it. Our party of four started with a round of cocktails (Mississippi Margarita's and Reposado Tequila on the rocks later to be followed with a couple glasses of Justin Cab...yes they have a nice & faily priced wine list) with standout small plates including fried green tomatoes , mac & cheese, drumsticks and shrimp/scallop with cheesy grits. All portions were ample for sharing and served on their happy hour menu. We were having a great time, no rush, so continued to larger plates, of encrusted trout, salmon with collards, ahi fish and chips...again, all dishes exceeded expectation. Topped off the evening with beignet's and rich coffee so couldn't ask for more. We're down in South OC (yep, a 45 minute drive) but for all the reasons above we will make Tupelo a local watering hole and have already planned on going back first week of June for the epic brunch we heard about. Thank you to Amy, Ernesto, the chefs and servers for making this a memorable evening! Great food, great vibe, super clean, fair prices! Jenn & Joe
